So I'm sophomore assemblies rep for this school year, and i need some ideas. Keep in mind that our school has about 600 students and our mascot is Pirates.
1. Homecoming theme. Not a theme for the dance, but for the whole week. Mostly a theme for each class to base their float on. Last year it was "searching the tide for pirate pride"
2. class competitions. At each assembly, we bring up 2-3 kids from each grade and 2-3 teachers, and they do a game (relay race, balloon pop, stuff like that) and whoever wins gets the spirit stick.
3. time killers. At assemblies we usually do some entertaining things that have nothing to do with the assembly, like show student produced videos, or a boy band of seniors lip-synching to n*sync (very entertaining).
4. Dress up days and spirit week activities. not just crazy hair day. Be creative. and during spirit weeks, we usually have activities at night like movie on the fields, so stuff like that.

i do have some ideas but id like to hear yours.

Sometimes we would do backwards day when you would wear your clothes backwards or inside out. The teachers could have pie eating contests
