I'm currently in 8th grade and I'm going to highschool next year. I can't wait and I'm really exited. The bigest worry I have is being with tons of mean and pot head kids. So highschool is going to be my gateway to college. How can I prepare for that big test or what ever it's called. Sat or act I think. But yeah, here are some of my college choices. What high school cources will be best for these options?(You don't have to read them all.)

1. Anthropology major & minor Mythology or Philosophy (PHD)- under grad. UWEC, grad. ?

2. Computer Animation (Bachelors)- Ringling college of Art + Design

3. Japanese major and English major/minor (Masters)- under grad. UWEC grad. ? W/ exchange program

I'm in high school right now and honestly there isnt much to worry about. teachers have always said oooooh high school is much more difficult than middle school. The concepts are more difficult to understand and the work load is alittle bigger but overall its not that bad. Going from elementary school to middle school wasnt that bad, right? basically the same idea. Your teachers arent going to chase you down to take that test or hand in homework like they did in elementary and middle school. You have to be more dependent then you were in middle school. SAT and the ACT are two completely different tests. The SAT you pretty much have to take to get into a college unless its an art school (generally). The ACT people take, i believe, to go into the military. it judges where you would best be placed in the military. What i have done to prepare for the SAT is doing online practice tests/questions. look at number2.com it was pretty decent and it has alot of vocab. I also have an SAT tutor that is teaching me about the english portion of the SAT. But, you can get an SAT tutor for each subject. As for preparing for college id take classes that have to do with a careeer you want to approach. Dont take blow off courses like cooking or video unless you actually want to do something in that career field. i want to become a marine biologist so i took oceanography, environmental science, biology (required but i still took it), zoology, and im trying to take anatomy for next semester. You should talk with your guidance counsler towards the end of this year to see what your approach to acheiving that career that you like. you have alot of time before you have to choose colleges and your career path. What you want to become will probably change throughout your time in highschool and even in college. My sister has changed majors three times now. And just to let you know im not an A student i get C's and B's so all this stuff that i mentioned doesnt mean you have to be an A student to achieve all of this. Dont overthink this too much. My school and probably yours takes you through it step by step.

I am a junior so listed below are my hints. Do not fear about getting misplaced. Every freshman is gonna get lost and arrive late to their lessons the first few days. You is not going to get in trouble for that the first week or so. If you are quite worried about getting misplaced, ask for a map of the institution and so that it will support you in finding your lessons with no trouble. Additionally there can be academics out within the hallways helping you find your method. Don't be frightened of higher classification men. They do not bully cut back class guys in actual lifestyles like they do on television. Additionally try to not discontinue in the center of the hallway or a crowd to talk to your friends or anything. Men and women do not like to be blocked from getting to class. Do not stress. High tuition is exactly like middle school. The one difference is the tuition is much greater and there are much more men and women. Seriously. Don't stress. You can be best. Just right luck! :)
