Cal Poly Pomona vs. UCIrvine (engineering major)?

Question

i will be a freshmen in college of fall 2013 and i am stuck between these two colleges. i know overall UCI is ranked better than Pomona, but for engineering i heard mixed answers of which one is better. Like i heard Pomona is better because you have a high employment rate after graduating and that you have more hands on experience. but UCI is a top research university, so i am stuck.

plus UCI offered me more financial aid, but i can apply for other scholarships

Cal Poly Pomona is ranked higher in engineering than UCI by the US News ranking. Cal Poly Pomona is better at some programs, but the two are not really comparable since Pomona has unique programs in agriculture, architecture and hospitality.

Cal Poly Pomona has the top engineering (next to Cal Poly SLO) program in California and some of the top programs in the country...it trumps UC Irvine. It's a great school, and offers hands on training. Choose it.
