ok, here's the situation.. I am doing A level's, and this is my second year.. however, after much thinking and decision making, I decided to do a course in college. I went to the interview and got accepted to do the course of my dreams (journalism and publishing). Problem is, how do i tell my school, that i quit, and that i'm going to college?!

Speak to your head of year if you have one or if you can your headmaster. Explain to them the situation and they should sort it out for you.

Whilst I understand your eagerness to do this course now, I don't think it is of the wisest decisions. In my view it would be far better to finish your A's then do the journalism course. Dropping out of A's will never look look good and future employers will want to know why and perhaps jump to the wrong conclusions. It will also narrow your opportunities in the future, and if you end up deciding you don't like the course or future possible job offers you could end up back at square one.

go to your counselor and say i went to a interview at a college to take a college course in journalism and i was accepted, but the problem is i cant stay here and go there at the same time. my parents gave me permission to do the college course instead of staying here.

Talk to whoever is running your schools A levels (Head of Six Form) apologise and let them know you have been accepted onto the course of your dreams and you feel it is far more beneficial to you being there instead of where you are now. : )

Hope that helped.

Find the man or woman in charge and tell them. Good luck
