what do you think would have a better impact a daily schedule change or a year long schedule change?

do you think that high school times should be changed (starting time and stopping time)?

if so then around what times should the normal school day start and stop?

if you are a student then do you think that you get enough sleep?

if not do you think that this is caused by overbearing homework or school related activities?

do you think high school students education would benefit from a change in schedule?

do think that school boards have already considered this change in schedule and forseen bad repercussions?

I think a daily schedule change would have a better impact. Just starting school an hour later would make my day that much better.

As I said in the previous question, yes, I think that high schools start to early. Scientists are always saying that teenagers need to get more sleep. Why are we starting school so early then?

I think school should start at 8:20 and end at 3 or what ever makes that state requirements.

Ummm . . . it depends how much homework I have. Generally I do okay on sleep because I force myself to go to bed even if not all my homework is done (if it isnt that important) but I often feel tired during the day.

I think it is due to both. I do three sports after school and I take AP/ Honors classes.

I think so. I think students would perform better if they didn't have to try to do work so early in the morning.

I think some school boards probably have looked at the situation, but that the majority of school boards don't even consider it.

1. Daily. I'm always too tired to pay attention first period.

2. Yes, definitely. My bus comes at 6:50. Usually I'd be asleep at least three more hours after that.

3. Homeroom would be better around 9:30 or 10:00 rather than 7:40 and should end around 4:00.

4. Definitely not. They say you should get at least eight hours, but I usually only get around five.

5. Not necessarily, 6:00 is just an ungodly hour to have to wake up.

6. Yes. People would be more alert in class.

7. I think they don't change the schedules so they have time for after school activities.

a daily schedule change would help much more because sleep is very important

i think starting and stopping times are good now but occasionally add in a late start so kids can sleep in

i would say 8-2:30 or 3

i personally do but i dont think many highschoolers do because of hw

i dont think a schedule change has much to do with education but more with stress and sleep

they probably have but you can never have too much sleep!
