The average American knows what the house system thanks to the "Harry Potter" book series. The schools here do not have the house system. In fact the government run schools here barely have any sort of educational system at all. That's why American students have to learn about England through the "Harry Potter" books. 'At's all

Yes I think most average Americans know what this is. Now I am not sure since I have not done extensive research, but pretty sure that only higher institutions have the house system and they are far and few between here in the states.

Yes. My school has a house system. I think that only about 15 schools in the US have a house system.

assorted my acquaintances who stay in Canada have properties! I stay interior of united statesa., yet we do have kind colorings. each and each kind gets assigned a shade, which they shop until eventually they graduate. There are 4 colorings (through fact there are 4 varieties in line with branch). Bridge varieties: kind I (crimson) kind II (Orange) kind III (crimson) kind IV (eco-friendly) bigger varieties: kind V (crimson) kind VI (Orange) kind VII (crimson) kind VIII (eco-friendly) it is slightly complicated, yet with the kind colorings we've shade wars (like the better varieties - V via VIII - have hallway competitions, or kind shade days, and so on..) ~a clean commencing up BQ: nicely I also have a chum named candy (Candace) Cane.
