there's an ALC school in my town, and a lot of kids have to go there. im jw why? and like what they did to go there? whats the difference between that and a normal public school?

ALC stands for "accelerated learning center". Kids go there when they are short on credits, they just need to retake classes that they fail, or wants to graduate early but are missing some core academic credits requirements in order to graduate. You should be able to tell the difference between that and a public school from what I've told you.

No, they work hard to understand and remember what teendom was like :-). But after many life experiences, growing academically and personally, they are at a different stage in their cognitive development- much as a 5 year-old can't think like a 17 year-old...Most teachers work hard to relate to students' personal experiences to make lessons more meaningful and interesting, but it's also their job to help students think beyond their personal experiences, expand their thinking and cognitive growth.
