It is very likely possible: The school/institution makes the rules and also establishes the consequences for not following them. More often than not now-a-days, but not always in the past, there exists some type of "Code of Conduct" and a formal set of rules, regulations, policies, and consequences; including the policy, rules, and regulations related to suspention. At minimum, not following teacher/staff orders is considered insubordination; the action of failing to perform the order it self is an additional infraction. It is also perceived as a lack of respect for the teacher/staff person's superiority, teacher/staff persons authority, and the institution its self.

Your proposed action won't do you any good, and if you miss classes you may be suspended. On the other hand, you might get an interview with the principal, who does not have the authority (or money) to put AC into the entire school. If you then went to class, you probably wouldn't have any problems, although you'd soon feel hot again.

If you refuse to follow the direct instruction of faculty or staff, the school can discipline you -- including suspension or expulsion. If the temperatures are as bad as you say, speak with your parents and have them contact the school to determine whether or not the situation is merely uncomfortable or poses a health and safety hazard. They will need to determine what laws and rules govern the running of your school if it is private.

No, because what they ask could be unlawful.

You should throw a few examples at us... but not sure that will help because these teachers like to think they're gods at school.

Yes. You are a student & they are the teachers. You are suppose to follow their rules for your safety & others. This is something taught in preschool.
