Or it's just that people are relaxing about spelling and grammar when they get online ? Because I have encountered tons of Americans who can't write a proper sentence ! Like this :
"I have in countered about 3 of them."
"She's taller then her gramps."
"I has alway think of her and stuff."
"I know Lauren who's boyfriend is my best friend."

And not to mention lots of typos. Can't they just spend at least 10 seconds to review what they wrote ? Or it's just undereducated people that I encountered ?

Depending on where you're going online, and what the subject matter is that you're discussing - that makes a difference in terms of who is on the forum. So it's possible that you're talking with people who don't have the strongest education, yes.

For example, if you're on a forum where you're discussing perhaps relationships, astrology, soap operas, football... versus a forum devoted to things like current events, news... different audience.

But it's also the case that in general, people write *much* more casually online than they do in school or at work. Online, it's really free-form. Often, someone who writes something online like, "She's taller then her gramps" would write that correctly if it was a term paper. Online, she's writing quickly, casually, as she speaks when she's with friends, and without much proofreading.

i think of many human beings have self assurance that they do no longer could be attentive to a thank you to spell to get by potential of in life. the significance of internet and text fabric messaging won't manage to be disregarded. it is likewise exciting to be conscious that maximum English instructions do no longer somewhat coach English anymore. They do coach a thank you to verify and write, yet after a undeniable grade, spelling isn't considerable. English is likewise between the tougher languages to the right thank you to spell in, such extremely some human beings supply up at a youthful age. there are such extremely some regulations, and each rule has an exception. i be attentive to German, and the words in that language are spelled phonetically for the main section. i don't be attentive to approximately many of the different languages, yet once you had to spell a sentence in English, you will could be attentive to a thank you to spell each and each word. This makes discovering a thank you to spell an extremely tedious technique. there is no longer lots excuse for the grammar component, in spite of the shown fact that, with the aid of fact the regulations in English grammar are lots much less puzzling to learn than those of German or Latin.

Young people in the US spend quite a bit of time texting. Since it is hard to type on that small keyboard, they tend to shorten sentences. they are still understandable, but not necessarily correct. I imagine that over the decades it will change what is considered correct or acceptable in US English. However, some of what you see online is just incorrect. Also, there are many young teenagers who put silly and almost unintelligible questions online.

I think people generally don't care about writing correctly online, which is unfortunate. I'm a product of American public education, and I'm able to write correctly.

I'm frankly amazed that some people hold the jobs they do when I receive their appallingly poorly written emails.
