I'm teaching a 2nd grade math class and I'm wondering if anyone has any easy and fun math games that the children might enjoy which would also help their math skills? I'm looking for anything I can do in the classroom with them - not computer or internet games.
A detailed explanation or links to resources would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Turn any lesson into a game simply by grouping students and have them compete against each other. Ask a math question and the first to respond gets the point.
You could use dice to create algebra problems. Roll two dice. Take that number and add the variable x. (Example - dice 1 = 3, dice 2 = 6. Make the number 3+6=9x.) Roll the dice again. Take that number and add the variable x, again. Now you have two numbers, let's say, 9x and 11x. Add the number together, or subtract, you pick, and solve for x.
