In my English Literature AS exam, I did Section A correctly but I did Section B wrong. In Section B, we were supposed to write about three texts each from a different author, but I ended up writing two of the texts from the same author. I thought I had written pretty well before I realised my mistake. I spoke to my teacher who said I may have to resit the exam next year, but hopefully I won't be penalised too badly and I can still pass because I got a B in my coursework (42/60). Have you ever done something like this, and did you end up failing the subject?

Considering that you have done well in your coursework, you can make up for this elementary mistake. Also, you've done Section A correctly, so this can make up for it. The examiner that receives you paper will still mark section b, but only one of the texts that you wrote from the same author. So, you could still be entitled to a good deal of marks and a good grade from this paper.

Wish you the best of luck!

You should ask this in the UK Y!A, from what I know, A levels are a UK thing.

And wow, a 42/60 is considered a B? In America, a 42/60 is a 70%, and that's considered a C.

I got an A for my coursework.

I did AWFUL IN THE EXAM.

Finished an HOUR earlier as I calculated the time wrong. :(

Relax.

Results in two days. What's been done, has been done. :)
